IMG0761Welcome to the Orpington Congregation page.

My name is Tony Hall and I am the full time Elder who leads our Orpington Congregation.

If there is any additional ways I can help you or answer any specific questions please don’t hesitate to drop me a line using the form below, or contact the office to speak with me.

At the beginning of 2013 we moved back into the Goodmead Centre having undergone a 6 month and £450,000 refurbishment of a building we have owned for over 13 years. The Goodmead Centre is in the heart of Orpington Town - at the Priory Park end of the High Street. We are the most prominent building on the one way as you leave the High Street but please don’t be looking for a traditional church building!

Each week we have visitors to our Sunday services or activities we run. A large number of them have not been in church for a long time, if ever. We want everyone coming into the Goodmead Centre to feel welcome and at ease. You come into our building through a shared coffee area with sofa’s and soft chairs and we always have welcome team volunteers on hand to give assistance – don’t be shy in speaking to them – they love to help. Our building is easy to navigate and full DDA compliant.

During the weekdays we are home to Hope Café ( Tuesday – Friday morning 9.15am – 12.45pm ) and a range of community service, such as the Citizen Advice Bureau and Bromley Mind.

As a congregation we run toddler groups ( Wednesday mornings term time ) Pop In groups for Seniors ( Friday mornings ) and more special interest groups such as Hope Hospice Group – for those living with, supporting relatives or survivors of Cancer and the LEAP family support project – working with families who need additional support and assistance.

Our Orpington Congregation is a growing, diverse community with a large number of families and youth. Our full time Youth Worker – Amy Thorpe – is based also based here.

We look forward to you visiting us at the Goodmead Centre, 36 Chiselhurst Road, Orpington,BR6 0DG as shown on the map below
